The personality profile which we did during the retreat on Saturday was pretty interesting because it was grouped into animals.
First we ticked off columns which we felt best represent us. Then we had to transfer our answers to another sheet of paper. Finally we had to add up the scores and see which is our most dominant trait.
The personality profiles are categorized into Peacock (Popular), Eagle (Powerful), Owl (Perfect) and Dove (Peaceful).
Essentially, Peacocks are those who are sociable, they are the life of any party, adventurous, messy, disorganized, chatty, extroverts and willing to explore. Peacocks are fun to have around but they will not make good workers because they tend to lose their focus and things never get done.
Eagles are the task-oriented ones. They tend to be bossy, arrogant, slave-drivers, focused and always think they are right. Eagles are normally hated by a lot of people for being bossy and domineering but you can count on them for getting things done properly and they will not lose their focus as they are highly efficient.
Owls are the meticulous, detail-oriented, cautious kinds who abide by rules and regulations. They tend to be picky and fussy and will ensure things are of high standards. Whereas Eagles just want to get the job done whichever way, Owls want to get the job done in the proper compliance way to ensure there are no screw ups. Because of this, Owls tend to spend time doing things and making sure everything is accounted for.
Doves make up majority of the population. They are the laid-back, easygoing kinds who go along with whatever. They have a peaceful disposition and are afraid of offending others. They are normally in their comfort zone and not that receptive to changes, preferring to just follow suit instead of leading and do not deem it necessary to push themselves or have the drive to achieve. Because of their peaceful natures, Doves do not offend nor feel offended so they normally become lifelong friends to others.
The personality profile is very true, at least to me! I am an Owl, followed by an Eagle as a close second. Which is why I am the way I am - fussy, picky, wants things done fast, impatient on those who cannot be as efficient and keep pushing those who are not as quick.
Apparently some of the participants had done the test before and the results have changed this time round. Maybe a few years down the road my personality would have changed, who knows? I wish I can be more Dove-like so I do not have to rush all the time!

I'm definitely a Dove, hehehe. Besides, the Dove is usually used to symbolise the Holy Spirit; so it's good to be a Dove ;-)
I remembered being assessed by CEO on my first day of work and he asked me to identify which personality I am.
I am Peacock and Eagle!
Julie : Being a Dove is the best! :-)
Jacq : Yes, you are definitely a Peacock! :-)
Hi there, may i know which vendor did your company engaged to perform this test please?
