CHOICE Annual Retreat 2010

I just came back from the CHOICE Annual Retreat for the weekend. I was feeling rather down on Friday but this retreat enabled me to be enriched.

It was different from the normal retreats as it touched more on self-discovery. Friday night we did an exercise on what I see, feel, hear, hope, worry, want, like. We had to write the first sentence that came into our minds. The Sister who conducted this exercise did not give us time to think so we could be honest to our own conscience. By saying the first thing that came to our minds, we had to admit our deepest fears and worries and face up to them.

The session on Saturday morning was on the timeline of God and how He impacted on our lives. After lunch, we did a personality profile then it was siesta time before dinner.

The final session on Saturday night was on Taize and Affirmation. After that it was quitting time. Sunday morning we had a nature walk, followed by a recruitment of the upcoming Conference, and finally mass and lunch.

So the retreat was not as intensive and pretty refreshing too! I would not mind going for another weekend like this!
