I was trying to write something for someone who has helped me a great deal, but has never found the inspiration. Probably I was too cooped up with my recent down time, I did not wish to depress anyone further by writing anything negative about anyone.
Then I read Angie's post and got some ideas. She calls him an angel, a rare gem in blogosphere. I call him my saviour, not the Saviour as in Jesus (which will be a big sacrilege and blasphemy), but another kind of saviour.
We went back more than a year ago. He gave me advise on love, friendship, life. He built up my self-esteem, albeit a little. He encouraged me when I was down. He put in kind and soothing words to make me feel better.
If not for you, I would have crumbled long ago. If not for you, I would not have cheered up a little. If not for you, I would not have become a better person, by changing my perception on things, by knowing what it means to be a true friend.
And for this, I want to say, thank you, truly, deeply, from the deepest recesses of my heart. If there is ever a true friend whom I will always look up to, it will be you.
