I was away the whole weekend to help out at the CHOICE retreat. This was my second attempt at housekeeping, and things are better this time round. Perhaps because I was working with different people, so the working style is different and not as tiring.
Luckily it was a public holiday on Friday, so we managed to have some time to buy groceries. This time round, we gave a personalised menu, so we had to ensure we prepared enough of everything. Even though we were busy grocery shopping and getting ingredients and lugging everything back to the retreat house, overall it was all worth it as the participants were grateful and appreciative!
There were more people this time round, twenty-seven in total. Of course, some dropped out throughout the weekend. But whoever that was left, seeing them enjoy themselves beat all the tiredness and stress! I can hardly wait for another weekend, hopefully I can finally get the chance to be a presenter this time round!
