I have clinched two interviews this week, both clinical research companies in the pharmaceutical and biomedical industries. I just went for one, which I think should stand a chance, as it was a lively chat with the interviewers. The post is for a Contracts Specialist, supporting the Clinical Specialist Manager, and Clinical Research Assistants in the Asia-Pacific region. If I get it, it will really be a totally different field, with new challenges, hopefully intellectually and mentally! No longer do I want just another mundane job doing the same things again!
I will be going to another one on Friday. That is the one I am more interested in, as the job scope is in line of what I am doing right now, albeit with a more Asia-Pacific perspective. What I like about it is that there is no legal team as yet as everything is outsourced, so if I go, I am starting a new team from scratch! Now that is something else altogether! It is definitely a much more exciting role!
In any case, I just heard news that our spa in Mumbai was destroyed, and two of our staff died on duty. How sad! So my company has set up a Condolence Fund and asking for donations for the family. Imagine how fragile life really is! One minute you may be enjoying yourself, the next a shell may just land on top of you!
It could have been any of my friends, especially those who travel extensively for work! Who knows, the next person may just be me, when I travel along the bus or train and something just blows up in my face. I shudder to think what will happen when that happens!
