Globetrotters, United

I was at this restaurant last night as part of a group event. Since we were in a private room of sorts, even the menu was a special set dinner instead of the a la carte menu. Since we are in a group function, the restaurant would have catered a special menu for us. So why would some insist on having the a la carte menu instead? Perhaps the a la carte menu has more varieties, granted, but still, as part of the group event, should one not just go along with the flow? Afterall, nobody else complained about the menu except one person. Why must someone be given the priviledge of having the a la carte menu when all were part of the group anyway?

Besides, I wonder if most of them came from work as they were rather casually dressed. Most were in jeans and T-shirt, there was one who came in Bermudas as well! Of course, looks are not everything, but when meeting people for the first time in a group event, is it not just basic courtesy to be more presentable looking, instead of looking as if you are just going for a coffee at a normal hawker centre?

As usual, nobody was talking so I ended up talking the most again. Sigh…. Actually I was already resisting the urge to speak up already, especially when someone was making remarks about certain things I feel rather strongly for, but I do not wish to be so loud at the first instance! One of these days I must bring a peg to peg up my mouth, so everyone else can talk instead of just me gabbing away!

The food is not too bad though, the banana mousse is really great! The service is not bad, the waiters and waitresses are nice and friendly. The cost is pretty economical as well for a set meal, definitely not like some of those up market restaurants with food that is not up to par yet is so costly. Not a bad place to go!
