So the day many people have been waiting for is finally here. The thirteenth biennial CHOICE Asia Conference starts today. As of now, delegates from around the region are already streaming in and some of us have already gone to the airport to pick them up. They will be staying at the YMCA. Since my role is quite crucial, it is a necessity for me to stay too.
The brief program is as follows : today we will welcome the delegates, collect the kit and T-shirts, have an opening mass, first session on the theme, songs and prayers. Tomorrow it will be photo-taking, sessions on themes, action songs, new learnings and country reports, and then Amazing Race in the evening.
On Saturday, it will be the "Make A Difference" project, while having elections for new team members, Confirmation of Minutes of previous Conference, Reports and Constitution Updates, Cultural Night and closing mass. Sunday will be the day when we check out, followed by an optional tour or else return home.
We even have a welcome kit consisting of the T-shirts to be used (different day, different colour), tour brochure and booklet. I must say, it is pretty well-done and well-prepared!
I am really looking forward to this, and I hope with God's blessing, the whole Conference will go by smoothly and well. Hopefully when I return on Sunday there will be more wonderful tales to tell!
