My resolve to be more active in church is off to a good start. I have been sourcing around for a Youth and Young Adults Ministry to take part in. Finally, I found this. It is a ministry for adults between the ages of twenty to thirty-five, where the group meets for retreats, outings and socialising.
Ironically, it is in the very church which I did not feel comfortable to step into. But since I have now made the resolve to put many things behind me, that should not be a reason why I do not join a ministry I am interested in just because of the venue.
Next up I am trying to see if I can join the Cathedral Choir. They are not recruiting as yet, and members have to be really discipline and committed. As of now, I am not sure if my commitment level is that high, because it is not being responsible for myself, but the whole group per se.
Baby steps this may be, but it should be off to a good start of being able to grow more spiritually and religiously. So I shall see how things go in this aspect of my life.
