A new friend and I went bowling last night at a clubhouse. We could only book the lane for an hour as the bowling alley we went to was hosting a championships game, so the lanes were fully booked for practice.
It was a fun hour though. We managed to bowl two games of ten each. Being the clumsy sports person I am, needless to say I had more gutter balls than spares, did not even manage any strikes. :-(
We went for dinner after that at a cafe in the clubhouse. The cafe is English-inspired with an English sounding name, and they serve Shepherd's Pie! As well as mushroom soup topped with a puff pastry.
The food is just okay, nothing too fantastic. I much prefer the puff pastry soup at Country Manna. As for the ambience, I much prefer that of Foster's, another English-inspired cafe. At least that place is cosy with live music, a much better place to just chill out.
