CHOICE Twenty-Ninth Anniversary Dinner And Dance

The CHOICE anniversary Dinner and Dance went well. As expected, it was kind of like a one man show, with someone claiming everything for self. This same someone was the Master of Ceremonies, performed a dance, a song and carolling, and auctioned off all these items, and cutting away everyone else's auction items.

Just like the poor dear was asked to dress up as a Santa Claus to take photos with the kids, with money being earned per photo, yet an hour went by and no one came to ask to be taken photos with Santa! Simply because no one (namely the said Master of Ceremonies) bothered to even promote him, as this someone was focused on getting all the benefits of the own items!

So in the end he was asked to change and proceed as normal, since they deemed that no one wanted his services. If it was really for the sake of fund-raising, why cut out everyone's services and auction items? Is not the more money raised, the better?

Pretty disilluioning actually. Which makes me wonder just what am I in for? What are we in for? For a higher being, or to cater to one person's whims and fancies?

Anyway it is not for me to judge. What matters is that everyone enjoyed themselves, there was enough food as the caterers did a great job, and the table games were nice. Most importantly, the tables were sold out, so even if there were some who did not turn up, the tickets were all sold out and hopefully we managed to raise enough to get the Asian delegates in next year and provide a comfortable time!

This is Santa Claus for the night!
