Yesterday we had a farewell tunch in the office. What is tunch, you may ask? Essentially tunch means lunch + (high) tea. Just like breakfast + lunch = brunch, lunch + tea = tunch. The reason why we had a tunch is because from the timing (two in the afternoon), it is a bit late for lunch and a bit early for tea.
It was the farewell of our Chief Technology Officer, who had been with us for fourteen years. Today is his last day so our Human Resource department catered food for everyone. The food is good, I do not mind using this caterer for any special events in the future!
We had spaghetti aglio olio with vongole, seafood fried rice, butter prawns, fried fish fillet, chicken curry, black pepper beef, mixed vegetables, some tim sum, honeydew sago and lime juice. Quite a sumptuous feast!
Come to think of it, I have not been to any high tea, brunch or tunch for a long time. Maybe I should start exploring buffets again! So many places to eat, so many varieties, looks like it is going to be hard to keep my weight down!
