A Successful Party

The house party last night was a success! I prepared fried rice and grilled chicken wings (with my own recipe). What started off as just a small get-together with travel mates became a relatively big group of singles - friends which I have in various social circles, and their friends.

Initially there were just thirteen, then the number grew to sixteen, then twenty-one with the final figure at twenty-three. It would be a cosy group. On the day itself, four could not come due to last-minute exigencies, but those who came all seemed to have a great and jolly time!

Besides the food I prepared, there were others who brought snacks, drinks, ice-cream, cake, dessert, candy and curry puffs. It was really a big feast! I was glad that everyone mingled and talked to each other, instead of just hiding in corners!

By the time the night was done, four bottles of orange juice, ten cans of beer, two bottles of white wine, one bottle of rose wine, one bottle of raspberry vodka and one bottle of red wine were wiped out amongst everyone! Some drank more than others and had to recuperate for a while.

All in all, it was a wonderful night! I really enjoy planning and hosting the party, hopefully there will be more to come in the future!
