I found a really good local online bookstore where the main author is just in his early twenties. He writes about teenage stuff in school and love stories, something like Adrian Tan's The Teenage Textbook and Teenage Workbook. The illustrators are also in their late teens.
Apparently, this bookstore is owned by the author, who self-publishes his books as well. His books are mostly bought online from the store, instead of in bookshops. Rather enterprising young chap, and a really good writer too!
His book "I Believe You" sounds a lot like the first story I wrote when I was still in school, which I never did send it for publication. His stories can be read online too, just the first half of the book and synopsis of the second half. But his stories are really captivating that one just has to get the book to read the completed story and determine what the ending is!
Hmmm... perhaps I should come up with my own publishing website as well? Then all my short stories and novels can be published too? But then again, I wonder how many people will actually read my stories anyway!
