Adapting To A New Manager

It had been two hell of days. When a new superior comes, the management style is different. Just imagine ever since I joined the company, besides the head of the department (who hired me) and the counsel who were originally here and left, there have had one more head of the department and two more counsels who have come and gone. Now there is a new head of the department as well as a new counsel, so each time when someone leaves and another one comes in, I have to adjust to a new way of doing things altogether.

Everyone has his / her own way of doing things. Not to mention my company is expanding rapidly as our owner wants certain projects in progress and completed. A lot of the projects have started last year, then went on hold, and finally this year there were some progress all at one go. Which explains why lately I seem to be busier at work.

Plus my new superior is unfamiliar with the computer, so I have to solve even very minor computer stuff for him, like how to save a document under a different name, and how to track changes in a document. Sometimes I think big lawyers have been too spoilt, as they relied on assistants and secretaries all their lives, until they do not seem to know how to do even simple tasks!

Having said that, the new superior is a nice guy. He brought us out for lunch two days back and tried to interact with us. He came across as someone warm and friendly. At least he is definitely not as loud and crude as the previous one!
