She, on the other hand, joined him for family events, talked to him whenever she ran into problems, but she knew she would have to find someone willing to commit to her and get married one day. So it was a dream come true when she met the Scottish Duke.
But at least this show has a happier ending as compared to "My Best Friend's Wedding", because in the former, he realised he really could not live without her, so mustered up all his courage to declare his feelings for her, and she accepted it. Whereas in the latter, the one he loved was his fiancee and not her. So she did the only thing she could - bring back the bride to him. The lesson learnt here is to treasure the one you have, otherwise it may just be too late, and sometimes it is too late to rectify things too.
