I Have Caught The Culprit!

Now I know the culprit behind all my Friendster flood of messages. My makeover photos! Strange thing was that my photos have been there for an eternity now, yet I only got flooded by strange messages recently. Looks like I have to start deleting pictures and put up my most unglamorous photos to scare people off and downplay my profile so I can come across as an uninteresting person. Maybe that can stop all these influx of messages at last.

The truth is so blazing that it blinds you, huh?

The inflow of emails to your Friendster could have been due the fact that one of your entries had been recently quoted in a "sampler blog". So you have more readers now and they may have accounts in Frienster.

To theorize that the "culprit" is because of your makeover photos won't do justice to your blog--and to people who would like to know more about you after reading your entries.

Of course if your intention is to subtly hint that you're a stunning beauty (which you perhaps are) and that your alluring makeover photos are posted in Friendster (which are going to be taken off soon, so why don't you rush to see them before they're gone), then yes, I'll grudgingly have to admit that it's ostentatiously written.

Anyway this is your blog. You can write what you like. Insult your readers' intellect if you must. But one of them may just have to bite back.

Like me.

The "sampler blog" caters to a US market of sorts since it belonged to a US guy. The messages I received in Friendster are all from local Singaporeans, who have been connected to my friends' friends' friends and so on. And most of the messages say about my photos on display, and described particularly the ones I put up after a makeover.

Interpret however way you like but I interpreted this way. And I have never considered myself a beauty in any way. As I said, I do not mind people msg me but once they come on too strong with sleazy msgs, then it's time to put a stop and protect myself.

If, with all these anonymity, people can still somehow hack into my Friendster account, then it is very alarming indeed.
