Serious Situations Around

The situation is getting dire, both for the world and myself. Just when London won the bid for the 2012 Olympics, the Tube and a couple of buses were bombed yesterday. Very smart of the terrorists, to bomb places where there is a huge congregation of innocent people. What are these people thinking?! Whatever religion it is, it is never right to kill off many innocent people just to prove a point or for the name of any religion. It is a pathetic attempt bringing religion into the picture anyway. All religions preach peace and harmony, not war and killings.

Have they considered the consequences of their actions? Besides taking away people's lives and loved ones, they are causing the entire city to be in chaos. The government has to spend tons of money to clean up the mess, and England's economy may be affected. As a result, the sterling pound may fluctuate, causing worldwide stock markets to crash. The entire world may suffer another economic crisis, and current jobseekers like me may take a longer while to find a job. Employers may retrench their staff, and there will be greater society problems due to high unemployment rates. The entire cause and effect will stem from just the actions of the terrorists. (Looks like my 'A' level Economics come in useful after all!) Don't these people have family and loved ones too? How will they feel if their own loved ones have been taken away from them due to bombings?

I really wish all these will stop soon. And that England will be stronger and better-equipped to defend. If this continues, I fear there will be another holocaust. This time the damage will be of an even bigger extent than previous 2 world wars, due to all the modern technology and nuclear warfare around. The damage would be far greater than what Hiroshima or Nagasaki suffered. I dread to think of losing all the people I love so much.
